Cake Bar - Dallas, TX - Forks and Flights

This little bakery is nestled in the back of Trinity Groves, out in Dallas Texas. I been there a few times and there has always been a wait (usually a sign that the place is legit). Cake Bar is known for their strawberry cake which you should definitely try it’s delicious. Today we are talking about the key lime cake which is bomb! I can’t even explain how good it is. The cake itself taste like lime with a citrus tart lime curd filling while the icing on it is lime cream cheese frosting. You have to get a slice if you’re ever in Dallas. I promise you won’t regret it.

Other flavors that are worth a try are the red velvet and the carrot cake are also pretty legit. The cakes are very moist and the frosting is delicious. They offer their cakes by the slice or the whole cake (5″, 8″, and two sheet cake sizes).

The place is a little awkward due to the size. I don’t think they put a lot of thought into it when they built this place. But they do have patio seating. The cakes are kind of pricy but they are well worth it. I got an 8″ cake for my cousin’s graduation and it set me back $35.00. Everyone loved it! Good thing I don’t live close otherwise I would be there all the time grabbing a slice!
