• Kayak – I like this website because it lets you do hacker fares ( one-way tickets on different airlines).
• Flights (Formerly Skyscanner) – Good to find airline tickets if you’re extremely flexible. You can search an entire months or the whole year.
• Hopper – A simple phone app to track prices on airfare.
• Seat61 – A useful website to check out rail travel within different countries.
• Vayama – Great for international flights outside the US.
• AirTreks – Leader in round-the-world (RTW) tickets.

Accommodations:

• Hotels.com – One of the many hotel sites out there I use.
• Trivago – Compares the cheapest rates on different hotel websites.
• Hotel Tonight – Great if you’re looking for last minute deals.
• Airbnb – Good if you’re traveling in groups.
• Couch Surfing – This website allows you to stay on people’s couches or in their spare rooms for free. Stay with locals and meet travelers.
